Alex Henry Foster’s Collector Lathe Cut Vinyls are BACK!

I hope you’re doing great, that you remain hopeful regardless of the current situation and all the confusion that comes with the additional sanitary rules that keep multiplying all over the world.
I’m now back home in Canada, where autumn has officially established its wonderful and colorful spectacle. It’s incredibly beautiful but it’s also the premise of the upcoming winter season and I’m not really a huge fan of the idea of losing myself in the Canadian snowstorms just yet, especially after spending about six weeks in the wonderful state of Virginia with Alex!
Time went by so fast, it’s crazy, but it’s been incredibly inspiring for me to be in the Highlands. And to be honest I don't entirely realize the exact depth of it all...! I didn’t know just how much I needed a moment like this, and since we are always so deeply involved in our numerous projects, it was very good to take some sort of a step back, to feel the true nature of those projects once again, not only to be so absorbed and totally obsessed by them that we may risk losing sight of what truly matters, forgetting the very reasons why we decided to engage ourselves in them in the first place.
That’s why the numerous conversations I had with Alex were so meaningful. He’s got that very special gift of looking at life from a heartfelt perspective and to move according to that vision, even when it doesn’t seem that easily perceivable or understandable - at least for me. So it was revivifying to be with him in such an intimate set up. That is also why I like sharing glimpses of those personal moments with you so much.
Therefore, speaking of reinvigoration, I have some amazing news for you today! One that I was really impatient to tell you, knowing just how happy and thrilled you would be to learn that ever since we started to release Alex’s very special lathe-cut and hand-crafted limited-edition collector vinyls, of which we had 100 copies of the first 4 editions and 125 of the last one, we had to keep approximately 10 “safety” copies of each edition aside in case any of them would be lost or damaged during the shipping process. Just like that particularly unbelievable picture so eloquently demonstrates…
Keeping a few copies aside allowed us to replace a damaged or a lost vinyl rather than having to disappointedly say to anyone: “well, we are very sorry to let you know that since we sold out every copies, we don’t have any left to replace yours and there’s no reprint possible as the vinyls are numbered and limited collector editions…” that would be quite terrible in fact.
So, the good news is, since you now all have received your copies safe and sounds, Alex and I, during one of our passionate conversations ended up talking about those amazing lath cut collector vinyls edition we had left at our label warehouse back in Montreal. All of them being such a work or art, very rare, and of course, very looked after du to their singularity, we just couldn’t fathom the sole idea to leave any of them on a box somewhere knowing it would be such a blessing for anyone who might have discovered Alex’s music only recently and have missed the opportunity to get him or herself a copy! Or, for any of you who might have missed on the opportunity to complete your 5 vinyl editions collector set! It just didn’t make sense!
And Alex being such a vinyl devote and passionate collector himself, (Alex literally owns more vinyls than several record stores we’ve been visitin around the world) came up with a one of a kind type of idea to make it the most interesting and fun way to make those very few copies we have left available for you…
THE HANDCRAFTED LATHE-CUT VINYLS ARE BACK
Every two weeks, starting this October 21, we will release one of those five vinyls, exclusively in The Club for 48 hours before releasing it publicly. Chances of it becoming sold out during that period are pretty high, though...! We have a total of 5 lathe-cut vinyls, so these great vinyl party sessions will last until December 18!
I have recorded this video where I explain all the details and some “rules” for this cool way for us to enjoy some music and collector passion during the next 10 weeks!
VERY IMPORTANT - HOW THIS WORKS
What is very important to understand is that, since we only have approximately 10 copies left of each of those 5 lathe-cut vinyls by Alex Henry Foster, we took an important decision to make it fair and fun for everyone.
So when we talked about it, it was clear that Alex didn’t want to simply do a “first come, first served” kind of thing, especially not in The Club! He didn’t want to create a competition about it, so we had to figure another way, and I think we did… in fact, that’s what I really like about Alex; there’s always some magic, fun, and depth added to what could easily be boring and insignificant! He is so engaged in every little detail, mixing art, people communion, and meaning into the non-personal nature of commerce! So... here’s how this will work!
- Please make sure your account has been created within our new online store: HERE
- Each vinyl will be exclusively available in The Club for 2 days for you all to get an even chance to buy it.
- There is a limit of 1 vinyl per person.
- If we sell more than the vinyls we have in our possession during those 2 days, Alex will go live on his Facebook page in order to publicly draw the lucky winners!
- If you purchased a vinyl during those 2 days and that your name doesn’t come out of the hat during the live draw, we will send you your money back right away.
- In an improbable case that we do not sell all the vinyls during those 2 days, everyone who purchased one will get it automatically.
- Once the vinyl is publicly available to everyone, it will be a "first come, first served" system until it is sold out!
- Release dates: October 21 / November 4 / November 18 / December 2 / December 16
- I will personally reach the winners via email following the Facebook Live draw!
- Since those are the “safety” copies we kept in case something goes wrong during the shipping process, we won’t be able to replace your copy if anything happens. In that case, we will refund you. Let’s all hope everything will be alright.
