The Club is now 15 years old!!!!

I hope you’re well! I've started writing this missive more times than I can count. Deleted it. Started again. Deleted it again.

Because how do you write about 15 years of something that was never supposed to be temporary? Fifteen years ago, we didn't know what this would become. We only knew we wanted to build something that would last.

15 years! This is incredible! Alex and I have always been aiming for the long term, never thinking small, cheap, or for something quick that vanishes as fast as another thought comes in. I did some research to find out what 15 years meant for something sacred, and here’s what I came up with... 

Apparently, a 15-year wedding anniversary is called the crystal anniversary. I really love that idea! Crystal is clear, it catches and reflects light, and it can be incredibly strong, but it can also break if you stop taking care of it, which to me makes these fifteen years of The Club feel strangely similar.

Fifteen years of friendships, music, disagreements, impossible ideas, late nights, airports, stages, records, grief, celebrations, failures, comebacks, and countless moments where we somehow chose to keep going.

To me, this year symbolizes and incarnates choosing the result of The Club, a decision to build something meaningful despite suffering. To me, these 15 years represent something much simpler and much harder: the decision to keep choosing the highest possible good. Not because life made it easy but quite the opposite in the end.

We've had enough reasons to become bitter, enough reasons to become cynical, enough reasons to say, "What's the point?"

But somehow, again and again, we chose something else! Something more like us, something we’ve always highly valued, aiming for the sacred, the holy, through friendship, creativity, dignity, curiosity, and freedom.

Each of those choices became another little piece of what The Club is today, which is much greater than our own little selves.

Thank you all so very much for being part of this incredible journey around music and friendship! Such a wonderful gift, since, for 15 years, you weren't watching this happen from the outside... You are part of what happened.

Every message, every record ordered, every concert attended, every stranger who became a friend, every person who introduced someone else to Alex's music, every conversation that continued long after the music stopped, every time someone stayed when leaving would've been easier.

That's The Club! Not just a mailing list, not only a database, not numbers or amount of members, but incredible and meaningful people! 

A Blissful State of Affirmation

As a celebrative year landmark, this year’s theme is also the long-awaited state of our hearts and minds as we’ve been navigating through countless amounts of years into troubled waters, desperately looking for a place we never found in the end. 

But that journey was never about finding a place... That journey was about finding our own selves, about becoming, about incarnating, about freedom! There’s no common map leading to freedom, only a personal one.

15 years of drawing a map together without ever pretending that we were all heading toward the same destination.

Fifteen years deserves more than another anniversary logo, so Alex decided to completely rethink what The Club package could be.

Some things will feel familiar, some things won't, some will follow us for years, and some will only make sense once you've opened the box and started the journey.

We're not simply celebrating what The Club has been, we're mainly building what it can become next!!!! 

Here’s what this year’s packages will look like.

I will take some more time to explain this year’s theme, what’s behind the items, the passport, and so on... But for now, let’s only celebrate and get excited about what this year has in mind for us all! 

Truly can’t wait to unfold all of its secrets and wonders!!! Let's see what happens next!
