Exclusive - You can now listen to From the City to the Ocean!

I hope you’re doing well! It’s Saturday morning and the vibe is to the roof at the HQ, not only because the snow is slowly melting and we can start feeling some sun warmth in my office this morning, nor because baseball season has now started, but of course, since this incredible project around Record Store Day and the song From the City to the Ocean are evolving in a wonderful way that really is quite exciting...! 

I really love to walk into the HQ around those exclusive vinyl campaigns since everyone is really excited to be here, which brings so much life and greatness all around. It’s a beautiful thing to witness and be a part of! 

I’m not sure if it’s because of this vibe or else, but I really wanted to offer you something special this morning as I was starting to put those words down! For Alex and me, offering you gifts is part of our top things to do...!

📖 Reading highlight I’m pondering

“Free man, you will always love the sea.” 

Alex wrote a short text we call a one-sheet of the song From the City to the Ocean and it starts with this very pretty line, which I really like...! When I need to stay at the HQ for a long period of time, I really start to miss the sea, and it creates something really strange within me... 

I even discovered there was a name for people like me: Thalassophile

I took that picture as Alex was so loud in the church, I had to immortalize this artsy moment! Since Alex sees music as colors, I thought it added more soul to picture him in black and white! :)

We had a very powerful conversation in the studio with Ben, Alex, and myself about the power of faith, love, and friendship as we were listening to a completely new version of the song From the City to the Ocean we just recorded. 

It was one of those capital moments in which we reaffirmed why we’re still there, after all those years, holding the half-destroyed flag of our ethos against every dark and heavy storm, never compromising its pure essence...! 

Instead, let’s learn to leave one version of self, from fragmentation to wholeness, from survival to presence, and to start living fully instead of simply enduring... Our journey is not an escape but a constant transformation toward freedom. 

Let’s be great to one another!
