About the Contest
We call this “the legendary Eastwood Mandostang guitar” or “the small red guitar”. Made by Eastwood Guitars, its official name is a Warren Ellis signature cherry Mandostang. It is, in simpler terms, an electric mandolin.
One of the first instruments that Alex Henry Foster has picked up, it has accompanied him during every show, but has been broken on the road during the band’s last tour. It had a good life until its last breath though, and traveled the world, meeting so many of you, but it is time for this little wonder to find a forever home where it can learn what a peaceful life is all about…!

Much more than a simple instrument, it is a symbol of the communion that Alex Henry Foster & The Long Shadows have with you at every concert they play. And if you’ve been lucky enough, you’ve even got on stage with the band played it yourself!
