Alex has a little something to share with you!
Feb 25, 2025
Hey,
I hope you’re doing well! It’s Sunday morning, around 10 am, and I’m at my desk still listening to Bob Dylan! I’ve been listening to pretty much all of his albums since last week, wanting to maintain my soul into something inspiring, something above and beyond my own understanding of how one single song can move an entire nation and the entire world!
One of my favorite authors, Hunter S. Thompson, wrote transcribed complete books of another of my favorite authors, Ernest Hemingway, thinking the only way to become a great writer was to start by writing something that felt unreachable… It’s been a great creative week music-wise for me, and I’m really glad about it, so I want to keep myself aligned with this artistic mind!
In the same spirit, I went for a run this morning at around 7am between the Mediterranean shore and the 15th-century city walls, listening to the new Billy Corgan podcast called The Magnificent Others as he was interviewing someone who really impacted me when I was a teenager: Tom Morello!
I simply couldn't stop running, as the sun was rising and the waves were raging and here I was listening to two voices of an entire generation navigating through both their personal journeys around music and socio-political involvement leading right to the world we live in right now! This conversation truly moved me in such a way… I really can’t wait to bring this into music in the upcoming days! I highly recommend you watch or listen to it!!!

Alex is also in a terrific mood these past few days, even if he’s been quite sick last week. We all have been to different degrees, but for Alex, it kinda hit him very hard for a few days. The funny thing was that the very first thing he texted me when he felt better one morning was something like this:
Alex: Morning brother! You up?!
Jeff: Hey man! How goes it today? (my funky way of writing English in a French way)
Alex: Just another morning - but I feel better than the past few days for sure!
Jeff: Amazing news! You should take another day to restore completely and do something you always tell yourself you’d do but never end up doing in the end!
Alex: Great idea! Let’s go to Cafe Hafa and film that video I wanted to do where I’ll explain to my friends our new postcard culture!
Jeff: Well… This is not the kind of thing I was talking about… More around reading, walking by the beach, watching some documentaries, or a sunbath drinking tea on some terraces!
Alex: Oh! Sure! We can do something like this after the video, no problem at all!
Jeff: Ha! Yeah…! Now I recognize you! You really feel much better now than yesterday! I was testing you! (not true at all)
Alex: I’ll be down in a few… Let’s get rolling! (it was 7:30am)
Jeff: As you know, Cafe Hafa opens at 9am! We have some time!
Alex: Let’s go for a walk then! (typical Alex!)
Jeff: …
Alex had this incredible idea at the turning of 2025, as he wanted to connect with you all on a much more personal note and not always on social media, and had this beautiful idea of sending you a postcard, leading to a video!
I wanted to share a short excerpt of this video with you today in order to get you excited and a little impatient toward your post office! Ha! 2025 will be nothing short of greatness, music, human connections, and concerts!!! Let’s get started!!!
Thank you for shaping this journey in such a beautiful way!
Let’s be great to one another!
Your Chief Operator and Friend,
Jeff
